2012 – A Day In The Life Of Perk

Day 42 and a half – Friday, February 10

After leaving the Rex’s and Deerfield Ranch, Dan and I headed to B.R. Cohn Winery.  BR Cohn has a wonderful chocolate and wine tasting event running Saturday and Sunday.  Their something special for Valentine’s Day this year.  Since Dan and I are already committed to the Sweet 116 wine tasting event tomorrow, I set up a private meeting with the folks from BR Cohn to learn a little bit more about their wines and other products and events.

We not only enjoyed wine tasting, but also a property tour, history lesson, olive oil tasting and vinegar tasting.  Bruce Cohn is the owner.  Bruce used to manage the Doobie Brothers starting back in the 60s/70s.  I’m not sure how Bruce got his hair to grow like it did in the 70s, but that is some mighty impressive hair!

I just loved this then and now photo comparison!

The wines were as delicious as their olive oil and vinegar.  If the chocolate they serve Saturday is even close to the quality of these, they’ll run out of chocolate before lunch!
