Ah, finally Friday. Tonight we went to my friend Justyn‘s art show at the Zen Center. He’s a very talented artist that is trying to make it in the crazy and opinionated world of art. Justyn has come quite a way since I first met him 10 or so years ago. Physically as well as emotionally. When I first met him he was fresh off the plane from Boston. Chip on his dred-haired shoulder, complete with Boston attitude.
After spending the past decade in San Francisco, traveling around National and State parks, and meeting his love, he’s finally come into his own.
Christopher and Gayle met us at the Zen Center. After spending about an hour at the show, we walked down to Mazzat in the Lower Haight, a new Lebanese restaurant. We tried some okay Lebanese wine. The food was good, not great, but good. I did like the atmosphere.
Gayle updated us on her potential TV show appearance on a new Oprah Network reality TV show called Mommy and Me. She’s a therapist they used to try and help a mom and daughter with some serious issues. It was supposed to air in November, but they are still waiting to find out when it will air. They say they’ll have a viewing party when it does finally air.
